What is Manual Handling ?
Any transporting or supporting of a load by one or more persons and includes lifting , putting down, pushing , pulling carrying or moving a load which by reason of its characteristics or of unfavourable ergonomic conditions involves risk particularly to the back of person.

Manual Handling relates to all areas of our lives not just our place of work this course will provide all participants with the knowledge and skill to carry out manual handling loads safely and without causing risk or damage to themselves or others.
Our Manual Handling Instructors are QQI accredited and approved.
On successful completion of the 4 hour course candidates will be issued with a certificate of competence in Manual Handling . This certificate will be valid for a period of 3 years.

- Anatomy of the Back.
- Back Injuries: Good Back Care.
- Ergonomics and Risk Assessment.
- Manual Handling Principles and Techniques.
- Problem solving.
Courses Fees are €40.00 per person.
